‘A good standard pie with lots of filling. The filling isn’t particularly tasty but is okay, the same could be said for the pasty. My last bite was ruined by a crunchy bite which I can still feel in my right ear. They do look good though, nice and deep with wavy edging and a Christmas star in the centre of the lid.’ – Paul

‘Finally a deep filled deep filled mince pie! This is an attractive pie with good pastry colour and a nice star decoration, but due to the weight of the filling eating can be precarious with the pastry crumbling after each bite. First impressions were good but but not spectacular, the taste is average but the filling a little runny. With two bites left I was feeling this pie was worth maybe 6 or 7 as it makes a good effort in all areas. Sadly, that score was not to hold, the last two bites filled my ears with a scraping, crackling sound akin to biting down on a family of Weevils, their beetle exoskeletons crushing between my teeth. It was not very pleasant, and thoroughly spoilt my enjoyment of the pie.’ – Mince Pie Virgin

‘”Where did you go….my lovely?, where did you go?, I wanna know…. my lovely”. Oh Waitrose you started off good but faded out a bit. It could have been a good race but you ended in average place. An all round standard entry that would be fine if i hadn’t tasted the pastry heights of some of our other pies.’ – Adam

‘Appearing quite sizable on first sight but on first bite revealing a mince meat void. Pastry looked a little pale but on the whole a good standard mince pie with nice pastry and filling.’ – Adam
