These were some of my favourite pies so disappointed to read these reviews of the 2011 edition. However I am happy to see two new reviewers on the site keeping the judgements fresh and balanced. This is definitely the leading authority on mince pies today!

I liked the smell of Scotch, so if you don’t then I’d suggest buying something else.

Also the pastry and mincemeat were good and overall it was a very enjoyable experience.

Someone brought them in to work and everyone else who had one thought they were the business too.

Not quite up to homemade shortcrust ones, so only 9/10, but the best shop-bought ones I’ve had in ages…

At first they are lovely, but mine were full of what appeard to taste like peanuts, crunchy nuts not very nice at all

These were a staple product back in my uni days. I remember them being on offer for a time, served with a steaming cup of Twinnings Chai tea, my god I was nearly bankrupted by the end of Christmas for all the friends popping round for a Panad, pie and chinwag!

Superb supermarket example, look forward to tucking in once again!

Now, I’m making my breakfast with these lovely mincemeat tarts and 2 oz of JD Silver Select. Weather is chilly outside and these couple of tastes makes love, not war!

The most delicious gluten free mince pie I have ever tasted
I have no choice but to be gluten free
Thank you so much for making something really yummy for those of us who can’t enjoy the normal ones
And brilliant that it’s nut free too

The 2010 pie is much shallower than than previous years, but is cunningly hidden inside a normal sized box. Saying that it’s still a good pie with tasty pastry. The mince leaves a lingering after taste like an early autumn mist filling an orchard.

Hello S Harder,

We’re just a review site so they’re not actually our pies, however you should be able to buy Walkers Glenfiddich Mincemeat Tarts at any good super market, or local convenience store. This will need to be during the Mince Pie season which starts around mid October, but does get earlier every year so you could get lucky. As for finding them in Devon, this shouldn’t a problem as these Scottish Pies have travelled even further south, across the English Channel to the shores of Guernsey when you’ve probably seen on the Spotlight evening news.

I wish you luck in your quest and please send us a review if and when you taste these pies again. If you happen to be visiting London at Christmas time be sure to hunt down some Konditor & Cook Mince Pies for the ultimate experience.
